Esperanza, one of Greenpeace’s ships is touring Indonesia to highlight the rampant deforestation of its forest.
Indonesia loses at least 1.8 million hectares of forest per year. It is faster than any major forested country – making Indonesia the third largest greenhouse gas emitter in the world.
Forest destruction in Indonesia causes floods, drought and climate pattern that also risks food security.
Along with the Esperanza’s tour is the call to become forest defender. You can answer this call by signing here.
