The shape of my life today starts with my family. It is determined by my background and childhood, my mind and its education, my conscience and its pressure, my heart and its desires and the people who taught me the meaning of kindness and compassion.

Philips: A New Green Leader in the Electonics Industry
After several actions and 47,000 messages from Greenpeace supporters in the past two years, Philips finally agreed to take full financial responsibility in recycling its own products.
Philips used to dump electronics waste in landfills or burned in smelters. Some is exported from developed to undeveloped countries.
Philips now intends to create global take-back system for its e-wastes in some countries. It also made commitments to its own greenhouse gas emissions and support a 30% emission reduction to industrial nations by 2020.
Philips, now, is an example of how electronics companies can be truly green.
